We make two fleeces: the Convict, in 550gsm brushed fleece, and the Cellblock, in 450gsm. They're cut differently, and the size guides show how. Here's how they compare, using the measurements from each product's size guide.
What 550gsm and 450gsm mean
gsm is grams per square metre of fabric. At 550gsm, the Convict fabric is about 22% heavier than the Cellblock's 450gsm. That extra weight is what gives the Convict hoodie and sweats their heavy, structured hang. The Cellblock is lighter, for layering or warmer days.
Tops: Convict Hoodie vs Cellblock Crewneck
The Convict Hoodie is cut baggy: wider through the body and shorter. The Cellblock Crewneck is a relaxed cut: narrower, but longer. Chest is measured all the way round the garment.

- In the same size, the Convict Hoodie is 2.6–7.6cm wider round the chest, and the Cellblock Crewneck is 5.7–7cm longer.
- The gap in width is biggest in the smaller sizes: 7.6cm at XS, S and M, then 5cm at L and 2.6cm at XL.
- The Convict size guide gives a height for each size: XS up to about 5'4", S 5'5"–5'7", M 5'8"–5'10", L 5'11"–6'1", XL 6'2" and up.
If you want the Convict's width but a little more length, size up. If you like the Cellblock's length but want more room, size up there too, as the crewneck gains 5.1cm of chest per size.
Bottoms: Convict Sweats vs Cellblock Shorts
The Convict Sweats are baggy and full length, cuffed at the hem. The Cellblock Shorts are a relaxed cut that finishes above the knee.

The two are listed differently: the sweats give the garment's waist, the shorts give the waist they fit. Take the shorts in your usual waist size.
Sets and prices
Each Convict piece is £60, and the hoodie and sweats come as the Black, Grey or Pink Set. The Cellblock Crewneck is £50 and the Cellblock Shorts £45, or £85 together as the Cellblock Set.
